One study was done by researchers in India. They took 75 male volunteers between the ages of 45 and 55. Half of these volunteers were instructed to take shilajit for 90 days at a dose of 500 mg a day.
At the end of the test period, the men showed an average of a 20% testosterone increase.
Another test study done by the same group of researchers in J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, India uses 60 infertile men as test subjects. They were given 200mg of shilajit for 90 days.
After the test period, about half the men who participated showed an increase in total sperm count and sperm mobility. Both of these are markers of overall male fertility.

These studies show a promising future for more studies that involve shilajit and have positive results on human health.
